Dies at Age 69

Mrs. Nellie Everett, 69, of 629 Elfgen street died at 11:45 a. m.today in St. Joseph's hospital, where she had been a patient sinceJan. 28.

Mrs. Everett made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Langford, atthe Elfgen street address.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Thomas Everett will be conducted at 2p. m. Saturday, at Milton Heights Baptist Church of which she was amember. Mrs. Everett, who was 68, resided at 1629 Elfgen Street.

Mrs. Everett died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been apatient there 11 weeks and had been ill for the past six years. Mrs.Everett was born at Shelbyville, Ill. Sept. 12, 1873. She had been aresident of Alton the past 53 years, making her home with a daughter,Mrs. Louis Hellrung for the past eight years.

Beside Mrs. Hellrung she leaves seven daughters, Mrs. May Graham, Mrs.Helen Simpson, Mrs. Dorothy Williams, and Mrs. Nettie Langford ofAlton;  Mrs. Edith Killebrew of East St. Louis,  Mrs. Elenore Rohlingof St. Louis, and Mrs. Harriett Nickison of Galesburg; two sons,Charles of Brighton and Jerry of Fieldon; 21 grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.

The body is at Streeper funeral home where friends may call after 5 p.m. today. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
