Mrs. C. W. Langford Dies; Rites Thursday

Mrs. Cyrus W. Langford, 33, 1801 Seminary, died at 9:10 a.m. today atMemorial Hospital where she had been taken early Sunday morning for anemergency operation following a sudden seizure of illness.

Mrs. Langford, who before her marriage was Miss Nettie Everett, wasemployed as a clerk at the Williamson drug store in Upper Alton. Shewas born in Alton, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. JamesEverett.

Surviving Mrs. Langford are two brothers, Harry of Fieldon and Charlesof Brighton; seven sisters, Mrs. Vane Graham, Mrs. John Simpson, andMrs. Ethel Hellrung of Alton; Mrs. Edith Smith and Mrs. EleanorWithman of St. Louis; Mrs. Harriet Dixon of Galesburg; Mrs. DorothyWilliams of Bethalto.

Funeral rites are to be Friday at 2 p.m. at Streeper funeral home inUpper Alton. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The body will be atStreeper's, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Thursday
