Everett-Walter Nuptials Last Night
Miss Harriet Walter became the bride ot Harry Everett last evening,the ceremony being performed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Walterof 2 East Twelfth street, by the Rev. Martin W. Twing, pastor of theFirst Baptist Church. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. John Simpson,brother-in-law and sister of Mr. Everett, who were married three weeksago. The wedding took place at 7 o’clock before a small company, madeup of the two famllies and a number of relatives.
Both Miss Walter and Mrs. Simpson were attired in dark dresses, andmade a pleasing appearance.
Following the ceremony a dinner was served to the company, and later aformal reception was held by Mr. and Mrs. Everett.
Mrs. Everett Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Walter of  Twelfthstreet, and Mr. Everett is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Everett ofPearl street.
The young couple will make their home in Alton.

Everett

The body of Harry Everett, 71, a former Altonian, who died Thursday atQuincy, has been brought to Alton for funeral services and burial.

Services in Smith Funeral Home, Alton, Will be conducted Monday at 10a.m. by the Rev. Orrin M. Anderson, pastor of First Baptist Church.Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery.

Visiting hours at the funeral home will be after 7 p.m. today.

Mr. Everett, a retired farmer, had lived in Jerseyville before goingto Quincy, and while there had affiliated with the Baptist Church.

He was born in Alton, Dec.  15, 1893, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs.James Everett. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Everett was wounded inaction in the war.

His widow, the former Harriett Walter, of Alton, whom he married Oct3, 1921 survives. He also leaves six sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Williams,Bethalto; Mrs. Ethel Kenney, Alton; Mrs. Harriett Dickerson,Chesterfield, Mo., Mrs. Eleanor Carlson, St. Louis; Mrs. HelenSimpson, Dorsey, and Mrs. Edith Sudarth. Three sisters and twobrothers preceded him in death.
