Mrs. Helen O. Simpson, 70, of Rte. 1, Dorsey, died at 12:05 p.m.Thanksgiving Day at Alton Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Alton, July 9, 1901, and was married to John F.Simpson in August of 1921. They celebrate their 50th weddinganniversary this year.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by two daughters,Mrs. Pearl Watkins of Alton and Mrs. Thelma King of South Roxana;three sons, John F. of Meadowbrook, Melvin C. of Bunker Hill andMarvin L. of Fulton, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; sevengreat-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Carlson of St.Louis, Mrs. Ethyl Kinney of Godfrey, Mrs Dorothy Williams of Bethaltoand Mrs. Edith Suddarth of Chesterfield, Mo.

Mrs. Simpson was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Alton,where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with theRev. Howard Todd Taylor, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Upper Alton Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Morrow-QuinnMortuary. The First Southern Baptist Church has been designated as amemorial.
