Coroner Holds Inquest Because Sick
Woman Had Refused Medical
Attention During Long
Illness.
Mrs. Leonore Glassbrenner, wife of Peter Glassbronner, died Wednesdaynight after a long illness, at the family home, No. 6 East Secondstreet. It was known for a long time that she was in a seriouscondition. Mrs. Glassbrenner refused medical attention and because ofthe fact that no doctor attended her even up to the time of her death,there was no qualified person to issue a death certificate and it wasnecessary to hold a coroner’s inquest. Coroner Sims came to AltonThursday and conducted a post mortem and an inquest and the jury founda verdict of death from natural causes.
Mrs. Glassbrenner leaves, beside nor husband, two children, Ray andEmmett.
The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home and theservices were conducted by representatives of the Christian ScienceChurch.
