Dies in Charleston
Widow of W. T. Glassbrenner
to be Buried Here
Mrs. Mary Glassbrenner, 83, widow of William T. Glassbrenner, and formany years a resident of Alton, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs.John H. Kenney, in Charleston, W. Va., early this morning.
Death was due to infirmities of age. She had been failing for sometime, and been in a coma for two weeks.
Word came this morning to her two sons, Paul and Lester, both ofAlton, who had been in almost daily communication with their sister.
Mrs. Glassbrenner had been living with her daughter in Charlestonsince 1943. Her husband had died before that, and two sons were in theservice during the intervening period.
Other immediate survivors besides the two sons and daughter are abrother, Paul Haberer, of Milwaukee, Wis., and six grandchildren.
She and her husband had lived to celebrate their golden weddinganniversary together in 1940. They were married June 5, 1890, at St.Paul’s Episcopal Church here.
Mrs. Glassbrenner was born in St. Louis, Oct. 5, 1864, the daughter ofMr. and Mrs. Jacob Haberer.
The body will be returned here, leaving Charleston, Sunday andarriving Monday evening.
Funeral services are to be conducted at 10 a. m. Wednesday at St.Paul’s Church by the Rev. William Hampton Brady, rector. The body willbe at Streeper’s funeral home Tuesday for friends to see.

The body of Mrs. Mary Glassbrenner, 83, who died Saturday at the homeof a daughter, Mrs. John H. Kenney, In Charleston, W. Va., arrived InAlton, Monday evening, and was taken to Streeper funeral home wherefriends may call until Wednesday morning when it will be taken to St.Paul’s Episcopal Church for services at 10 a. m. Burial will be inUpper Alton cemetery.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Glassbrenner, 83, widow of William T.Glassbrenner, who died last Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs,John H. Kenney, in Charleson, W. Va., were   conducted Wednesday at 10a. m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church by the Rev. William H. Brady,rector. Burial was in Upper Alton cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Glassbrenner, Morris Mayford, Harry Hemphill,Fred Redmond, Fred Joesting, and Walter Wyalt.
