Died-At his late home in East Newbern, Tuesday, August 1, 1916 at 4:30o’clock, at the age of 75 years 4 months and 4 days, leaving his wifeand three children, George J. and Mrs. Fred Boehm, of Alton, Alex, ofWinchester, Ill, also one brother Fred Winger, of Wolf Island, Mo.
Funeral will be held at Bethany M. E. Church, East Newbern, at 2o’clock Thursday p.m., Aug. 3, 1916.
Friends of the family are invited to attend.

Funeral of John Winger.
Very many residents of the North Side and of Alton attended thefuneral today of John Winger who died Tuesday at his home near EastNewbern. The funeral was held this afternoon from the MethodistEpiscopal Church in East Newbern, where services were conducted andwas attended by a large per cent of the residents of that vicinity, aswell as very many from other places. Mr. Winger was a son-in-law ofthe late “Uncle John” Glassbrenner, and was about as well known here--where he got his bride- as in Jersey County, where he lived so manyyears.
