Mrs. Catherine Winger
Dies at Age of 86
Mrs. Catherine Glassbrenner Winger, widow of John Winger, died at thehome of her daughter, Mrs F. H. Boehm, 112A Henry street, early thismorning. Mrs. Winger, the last of a large family, was born inPennsylvania, Sept. 30, 1848.
Following the death of Mr. Winger 14 years ago, Mrs. Winger came toAlton to take up her residence. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Wingerresided in East Newbern.
Three children, George Winger, Mrs. Boehn and Alex Winger, and threegrandchildren, Elizabeth Fisher, Clarence Winger and J. F. Boehn,together with five great-grandchildren, survive. Alex Winger is aresident of Winchester, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at the East Newbern church, Monday at 2o’clock.
The body will be taken from the Streeper funeral home this evening at7 o’clock, to the George Winger home, 16 East Delmar avenue where itmay be viewed by friends until time for the funeral.

Funeral of Mrs. Winger
A large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral thisafternoon of Mrs. Catherine Winger, who died Saturday morning at thehome of her daughter, Mrs. F. H Boehm on Henry street. The funeralcortege left the home of George Winger, 16 East Delmar avenue, a son,where the body was taken, proceeding to East Newbern church, wherefuneral services were held. The Rev. J. G. Reynolds, pastor of ElmStreet Presbyterian Church, officiated. Interment was in East Newberncemetery. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Winger resided in East Newbern.
Pallbearers were John St, Peters, Walter St. Peters, James Foster,George Tonkinson, Charles Cason,  and Ezra Schouten.
