Charles Otto Williams, 68, of 339 W Corbin, Bethalto, died at 5:15p.m. Friday at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was a crane operator at Olin Corp. for 35 years until retiring in1972.
A native of Hannibal, Mo., he had lived his early life in CalhounCounty. He married the former Dorothy Everett, June 27,1931 in Alton.
Surviving are his widow; three daughters, Mrs. George (Beatrice)Stevenson of Granite City, Mrs. Tom (Virginia) Neunaber of Boise,Idaho and Mrs. David (Ramona) Hamilton of East Alton; two sons, Louisand Ricky J., both of Bethalto; a sister. Mrs. Myrtle Mozier ofHamburg; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Smith Funeral Home inBethalto.
Mr. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bethalto,where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Dr. C. O.Kool will officiate.
Burial will be in Bethalto City Cemetery.
The church has been designated as a memorial.
