Announcement was made today of the marriage of Wm. (Tate) Redmond toMrs. Gertrude Bridges. The wedding took place in Bloomington Monday.Mr. and Mrs. Redmond will make their home in Alton.
Mr. Redmond, the son of Mrs. Wm. Redmond of Bluff street is employedat the Standard Oil Co., while his bride is an employe at the Bostonstore. Mrs. Bridges was formerly with Henley-Alden.

Mrs. G. Redmond
Dies at Age 52
After a long illness, part of which time she had been a patient m St.Joseph’s Hospital, Mrs. Gertrude Redmond, 52, wife of William F.Redmond, died Sunday at 8:40 p.m. at her home, 41 Edwardsville road,Wood River.
Before moving to Wood River about three years ago, Mr. and Mrs.Redmond had resided in Alton.
Surviving besides here husband, are two daughters,  Mrs. MargaretGrady of Wood River and Mrs. Lois Homyer of St. Louis, and a son,Harold Bridges, Rexford, Ind., and a grandson, Jackie Grady. She alsoleaves two sisters, Mrs. Jesse C. Johnson of Bloomington and Mrs. FredIngles, Madison, and a brother, Fred King of Mason City.
Funeral rites will be conducted Wednesday at 9 a. m., at St. Patrick’sChurch. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. The body may be seen atBauer & Hoehn funeral home after 6 p.m. today.

Rites at St. Patrick’s
The Rev. Father P. J. Smyth was celebrant of a requiem high mass at 9a. m., today at St. Patrick’s Church for Mrs. Gertrude Redmond, wifeof William F. Redmond who died Sunday at her home in Wood River.Father Smyth also officiated at Greenwood cemetery where the body wasinterred.
Pallbearers were William Reiley, Jack Redmond, Robert De Grand, MartinGradl, Byron Ullman and Mathew Monks.
