Jack Redmond, 62, of Alton, died suddenly at 1:13 a.m. Sunday at St.Joseph’s Hospital in Alton.
Born in Alton, son of the late Fred A. and Sadie G. (Poore) Redmond,he was a scale clerk at USA Reduction for 12 years, retiring in 1982.
He married the former Margie Moran on July 26, 1952 in Alton, and shesurvives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Patty Kelly, Jackie Harris and JaneConnell, all of Alton, and Sue Redmond of Chicago: threegrandchildren: and one sister, Betty Farley of Alton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Staten Funeral Home inAlton, where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church inAlton at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Msgr. James Suddes as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey, and memorials maybe made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
