GLASSBRENNER. Fred E Glassbrenner, 57, died November 1, 1986, at St.John hospital, Springfield. Glassbrenner served in the Korean conflictand was a farmer and carpenter. He was the business agent for theMadison County District Council of Carpenters for many years and waspresident of Carpenters Local 377 for 15 yrs. He was born inJerseyville, the son of the late George L & Abbie (Van Pelt)Glassbrenner. On January 10, 1953, in Fieldon, he married Norma Jean(Narup) Glassbrenner, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters,Karen Bender of Williamsville, IL, Patti Updike of Jerseyville and AnnGlassbrenner of Plainview; 2 sons; Ralph Glassbrenner, Brighton andPaul Glassbrenner of Plainview; and 5 grandchildren. Visitation was atJacoby Wise Funeral Home in Shipman. Plainview Lodge #461 AF&AMconducted Masonic Rites. Rev John F Sheahan officiated at the servicesheld at funeral home. Burial was in St Denis Cemetery, Shipman.Memorials may be given to American Heart Association.
